You should already know how to work double crochet, slip stitches, and chains. Knowing how to crochet in the front and back loops of the stitches would be an asset. You should also know how to follow a pattern and read abbreviations.

This pattern comes in 3 different varieties of hats and is extremely easy. The basic stitch used for all 3 hats is double crochet.
